Administrative Record

IAAAP Administrative Record, required by the Code of Federal Regulations, is a compilation of documents that track the discovery, investigation and remedy selection for environmental clean-up activities under the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act (CERCLA). It also provides a mechanism for public participation. The documents contained in the Administrative Record were used as the basis for the selection of a response action. All hard copies of the Administrative Record reside at the installation.

The CERCLA process is a multi-step, science-based approach to addressing contaminated sites, ensuring both public and environmental protection. It also involves significant public participation and collaboration with various stakeholders. CERCLA documents are grouped by Operable Units with similar/same contamination.
